Dive on the reef 2.00 pm
We go to one of our spectacular reefs every afternoon, two one hour dives on different reef locations. Leaving the dock at 2.00 pm, check in time is at 1.30 pm and returning to the dock at around 6.00 pm.
The reef is approximately six miles offshore – about a 40 minute boat ride – and provides a number of locations for scuba diving and snorkeling Key West. The Florida Reef is the only living coral barrier reef in the United States. It is the third largest coral barrier reef system in the world and lies approximately six miles seaward of the Florida Keys in water that are typically fifteen to thirty feet deep. The reefs sites we dive are located within the National Marine Sanctuary, which means they are protected area’s and therefore have a spectacular coral and fish life. 110 species of corals and over 500 species of tropical fish in our coral reef community, all species are interrelated and live in harmony. Our typical reef dive is between 10’ and 40’ deep. Sites are chosen based on daily conditions.
Snorkeling on the reef 2.00 pm
Since our Key West reefs are pretty shallow, they are perfect for snorkelers as well.
